From a moviegoer’s perspective, the 2026 horror year offers flow and breadth. There is recognizable IP where it plays, new vision where it lands, and a calendar that shows studios track how and when scares land. The awards and festival pipeline into 2027 will come into focus once the fall festivals lock, and it would not be surprising to see at least one near-deadline boutique buy join the party. For now, the job is simple, shape lean trailers, protect the mystery, and let the frights sell the seats.
